COLUMBUS, Ohio – Alumni Association president and CEO Archie Griffin will represent Ohio State in the pre-game coin toss at the Sugar Bowl on Jan. 4 in New Orleans.

 

This is the first time that Griffin has participated in the coin toss at a bowl game.

 

“I was truly humbled to be included in the Sugar Bowl festivities as part of the coin toss,” Griffin said. “It is an honor to represent Ohio State and our accomplished alumni.”

 

Arkansas will be represented in the toss by former Razorback player Jay Bequette. Bequette is the second of three generations of his family to play for Arkansas. His father was a Razorback player and his son, Jake, is a junior defensive end on the current team.

 

Griffin’s son, Adam, is also a member of the current Buckeye football team.
